Sports Performance Training in Boise, Idaho

At Juke Chiropractic & Sports Rehab, sports performance training is designed to help athletes and active adults improve the physical qualities that matter for their sport and activities. Training is individualized around your current abilities, movement, goals, and the demands you need your body to handle.

Whether you're looking to improve strength and power, return to higher-level training after an injury, or simply become a stronger and more capable athlete, we use assessment and progressive exercise to help you work toward those goals.

Our Approach to Sports Performance

Effective performance training isn't simply about making exercises harder. The goal is to identify the physical qualities that matter for you and progressively develop them.

Depending on the athlete and sport, training may focus on:

  • Strength and muscular capacity

  • Power and explosiveness

  • Mobility and movement quality

  • Stability and coordination

  • Balance and single-leg control

  • Speed and athletic movement

  • Rotational strength and power

  • Core and trunk control

  • Injury resilience

  • Sport-specific physical demands

Programs can be adjusted based on training experience, previous injuries, current limitations, and performance goals.

Movement and Performance Assessment

Before deciding what an athlete needs to improve, it helps to understand how they currently move and perform.

Assessment may include mobility, strength, balance, movement patterns, side-to-side differences, and other measures relevant to your activity or sport.

Rather than viewing every asymmetry as a problem, we use these findings alongside your history and goals to identify areas that may actually benefit from additional training.

This gives us objective information that can be used to guide programming and measure progress over time.

Strength, Power, and Athletic Development

Strength provides the foundation for many athletic qualities, but performance often requires being able to express that strength quickly and efficiently.

As appropriate, training can progress from foundational strength and movement control toward faster and more dynamic exercises designed to develop power and athleticism.

Depending on your goals, this may include resistance training, unilateral exercises, rotational movements, jumping and landing progressions, or other sport-specific training.

The goal is to progressively prepare your body for the forces, speeds, and movements required by your activity.

Performance Training After Injury

There can be a significant gap between finishing basic rehabilitation and feeling completely prepared to return to unrestricted training or sport.

Our sports performance training can help bridge that gap.

As pain improves and foundational strength returns, training can gradually become more demanding and more specific to your activity. This progression helps rebuild confidence while preparing the previously injured area—and the rest of the body—for higher-level demands.

For patients already receiving sports chiropractic or rehabilitation at our clinic, performance training can provide a natural progression from recovery back to full activity.

Training for Golfers

Golf requires a combination of mobility, strength, stability, coordination, and rotational power.

As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) trained provider, Dr. Jon Juker can assess movement as it relates to the physical demands of the golf swing and identify areas that may benefit from targeted mobility or strength training.

The goal isn't to coach your swing. It's to help improve the physical capabilities that allow your body to perform the swing effectively.

Training for Active Adults

Sports performance isn't only for competitive athletes.

Many active adults simply want to become stronger, move better, improve their ability to hike or ski, perform better in recreational sports, or continue training as they get older.

Performance training can be adapted to your current level and goals, whether you're preparing for competition or simply want your body to be more capable.

Take Your Performance to the Next Level

Whether you're returning from an injury, preparing for your sport, or simply looking to become stronger and more capable, we'll start by identifying what matters most for your goals.

From movement and performance assessment to progressive strength and athletic training, we'll build a plan designed around what you want your body to accomplish.
